Of course there are many shows between now and the next big show, which will be held in the autumn of 2010 at the Dixie State College Sears Gallery. The gallery space is incredible. I'm planning on filling it with fifty paintings and six large sculptures. It will take two years to finish all of these works of art. I mapped out the gallery so I can create work to fit well in the space:
I'm trying to make this show a little more unified than my last show, so each of the walls will contain works within a series. The large wall will contain paintings from my Figures with Wings series, which represent a fusion of the human and the divine:

The facing wall will contain landscapes based on photos from my travels in Tennessee and Utah, with an emphasis on the divine design of nature. The larger paintings will be part of a series called "The Road Ahead":

The front walls of the gallery will contain spiritual allegories, including some harvesters in the vineyard and some abstracted Christ paintings. I hope to include sculptural elements including real baskets glued onto the panels:

The side walls in the middle will contain small and simple compositions, perhaps a halo or meditation series, as well as two large allegorical paintings entitled "Awakening I" and "Awakening II":

In the center of the gallery will stand six plaster sculptures of winged figures:
